Junior Varsity
Where most Raiders start.
Junior Varsity is the entry point to the programme, and most players who reach Varsity started here. Plenty of them had never played organised football before.
Oak Park plays in the twelve-man junior varsity division, six league games and then the playoffs. It is not a development side in the sense of a quiet one: the Raiders have won the JV championship in 2010, 2012, 2017 — that one a 44–6 final against St Paul’s — and again in 2025, when they went 8–0 and beat Dakota 48–21.
NEEDS THE CLUB: the year groups JV covers, how tryouts work, and roughly what the time commitment is in a week. Parents ask all three before anything else.
