- Facilities in the planNot only a football field
The plan is a turf field with lights, a running track, an expanded clubhouse, a ring near the school, and a basketball and pickleball court. The field will be marked for football, soccer and lacrosse, and the clubhouse will include rentable space with a canteen.
That breadth is deliberate. A football field serves one club for one season a year. This serves the school, the soccer and lacrosse programmes, and the neighbourhood, which is why the City has put a million dollars behind it and why the club is asking Charleswood rather than only asking football families.
NEEDS THE CLUB: the club’s own words about what the current field is like to play on, and a paragraph from the board about what the project means. A donor gives to a specific problem, not to an improvement in general — the sentence that raises the money is the one describing the ground as it is today. Drawings follow the 24 September unveiling.
The architect’s plan, once it is released. Until then this slot holds the vector field drawing at /brand/field-canadian.svg. Do not publish the real drawings before the game — they are embargoed until the unveiling.
