The Stu Nixon Scholarship

The Stu Nixon Scholarship fund supports Raiders going on from Oak Park. It carries the name of the coach who ran this programme for most of its life.

NEEDS THE CLUB: the terms of the scholarship — who is eligible, what it is worth, how it is awarded and by whom. A named fund raises expectations a general donation does not, and this page should not go live vague.

Gifts to this fund are held separately from the club’s general funds, and are identifiable as such in the club’s own records — a contribution here goes to the scholarship and nowhere else.

NEEDS THE CLUB: confirmation from whoever handles the club’s finances about how gifts to a NAMED fund should be receipted and accounted for. That is a different question from an ordinary donation, and re-issuing receipts costs more than asking. Until it is answered this fund is not accepting contributions — the page is complete and the button is switched off, which is one field in the admin.
